Job Description
Big Brother Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois (BBBSIL) provides mentoring services to youth in Clinton, Madison, Monroe and St. Clair counties.

Job Responsibilities
The following statements reflect the general duties, responsibilities and competencies necessary to be successful in the position.
 Work with CEO and others to develop and establish program strategy of organization
 Lead development, implementation, and evaluation of annual program plan and goals
 Establishes and oversees program segment of agency’s overall budget
 Effectively perform all supervisory functions of hiring, coaching, training, disciplining, and terminating of all program staff, according to BBBS policies. Develops and holds program staff accountable to work efficiently and effectively and to achieve individual and team goals while complying with agency polices and national standards of practice Ensures effective performance management and completion of annual evaluations for all program staff
 Communicates to CEO and Board of Directors on matters of program effectiveness, youth outcomes, and child safety. Provide program reports at Board meetings. Establishes and ensures a system for quality assurance and youth protection
 Oversees program deliverables and impact reports for grants and partners
 Assists fund development team with presentations, donor strategy and planning
 Provides other support as needed to the fund development committee and the Board of Directors in coordination with the CEO

Requirements:
 Candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree is preferred
 A minimum of five years professional work experience, preferably in a BBBS agency or human service agency, with at least two years of supervisory or administrative experience is preferred.
 The Chief Operating Officer plays an instrumental role in the agency’s grant and program deliverables and reporting agency impact to the community and funders
