Job Description
Management and supervision of total licensed and certified clinical service staff for Clinical Team.  The Clinical Services Manager pro-actively promotes clinical competencies to assure positive patient outcomes by directing and participating to meet the realistic needs of the patient/client, as defined by the physician’s orders and the Plan of Care.  Assumes responsibility for coordinating all clinical aspects of patient care.  Mentor staff on the most efficient ways to assess the patient/family’s needs, plan for their care, implement the Plan of Care, and evaluate the effectiveness of the care being provided.  Provide employee coaching that facilitates development of the person and delivery of the highest quality of patient/interdisciplinary care.  Assure consistent, appropriate, and cost-effective care by actively managing patient/family’s needs, payor’s expectations, company policy compliance, and Hospice of Southern Illinois’ financial objectives.
Full Time/ Salary Exempt.

 Position Requirements
  1. Education
    1. Current Illinois Registered Nursing License required.
    2. Master’s Degree preferred.?
  2. Experience
    1. Two (2) years hospice experience preferred.
    2. Two (2) years healthcare management/leadership preferred.
  3. Other Qualifications
    1. Excellent leadership, managerial ability, organizational and interpersonal relationship skills.
    2. A working knowledge of Medicare hospice regulations is preferred.
    3.  Reliable means of transportation.
    4. Ability to work with minimum supervision.
    5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products  
Technical Competencies:
  1. Ensures policies and procedures comply with all state and federal regulations.
  2. Overall management of the operations of the clinical services team.
  3. Attends and participates in committee meetings and processes to ensure and promote clinical and organizational growth and development.
  4. Compose policies and programs that link to the mission of Hospice of Southern Illinois.
  5. Ensures completion of the on-call schedule for assigned team.
  6. Participates in administrative on-call rotation.
  7. Scheduling of employees.
  8. Participate in the budget development process.
  9. Ensure timesheet approvals for accurate and timely payroll process.
  10. Proficient understanding of Hospice of Southern Illinois contracts.
  11. Working knowledge of organizational reports.
  12. Collaborates effectively with internal and external customers.
  13. Upholds fiduciary responsibilities to ensure efficient resource usage.
  14. Accurate timesheet documentation.
  15. Other duties as assigned.
