Who We Are - Founded 150 years ago by the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis in a small schoolhouse in Belleville, HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital is one of the largest health care providers in southwestern Illinois, offering specialized services in a technologically advanced facility in O’Fallon since 2017.
Our Highlights
HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital offeres advanced care specialties so area residents have high-quality, compassionate care close to home without having to travel “across the river.”
• Through our partnership with Prairie Cardiovascular, we offer a full range of cardiovascular specialties and pioneering life-changing interventions like the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and the WATCHMAN® implant.
• We partner with top providers at HSHS Medical Group, Cardinal Glennon, Saint Louis University Family Residency and SSM Health.
• We support our local EMS partners by serving as the IDPH resource hospital for EMS Region Four.
• We offer robotic-assisted surgery for gynecology, urology, general surgery, orthopedic and pulmonary procedures. Our most recent addition is the Ion Robotic Bronchoscopy system for lung biopsies.
• Our Women and Infants Center offers an Obstetric Emergency Department (OB ED) 24/7 for women experiencing a pregnancy-related complication or emergency.
